The book follows Clover, a black cat, and her journey to many countries to learn about the superstitious beliefs around black cats. Some counties see black cats as good luck, and some see them as bad luck. The third chapter in the book focuses on the theme of the low adoption rate of black cats due to the mistaken belief that they bring bad luck. It tells Clover’s story about how she had been waiting to find a forever home and eventually does!
The point of the book is to educate while keeping the themes light-hearted and fun, as well as debunking the myths that surround black cats. All in all, whether one is superstitious or not, black cats are just as wonderful as any other pet!
